Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS) est une jointe venture créée en 2014 au capital social de 58 610.000.000 Dinars Algériens. Elle est détenue à 49% par Qatar Steel International, à 46% par le Groupe IMETAL et à 5% par le Fonds National d’Investissement.
La société a lancé la construction d’un complexe sidérurgique, dans la zone industrielle de Bellara (Wilaya de Jijel), destiné à la production et la distribution de fil à machines et de rond à béton. Les activités d’exploitation et de commercialisation débutant en 2017, seront orientées sur le marché local dans un premier temps. AQS compte l’étendre pour pouvoir couvrir d’autres régions
