Customer Support operates as a global virtual team via a follow-the-sun process. Working as part of Global Customer Support team, the Customer Support Engineer is responsible for the provision of a quality service to clients.
- Provide phone and electronic support to our customer base
- Reproduce, investigate and diagnose problems within SLA
- Liaise with customers to inform of progress on issues they have raised, request information, manage expectations and close out issues.
- Take ownership and the initiative in customer support issues and escalates when necessary.
- Log, track and update incidents in our issue tracking system
- Contribution to knowledge base/FAQ to assist Customer Support in simplifying the support process
- Issue customer surveys; collate survey data responses and create reports
- Create and maintain support dashboards and dashboards for customers
- Create customer tickets statistics
- Manage project handovers to Customer Support
- Administer requirements for customer support
- Other duties as determined from time to time by your managerTasks included:
- LAN/WAN understanding (Switches, routers and firewalls)
- Windows platform (2008R2, 2012)
- Linux platforms
- Detailed knowledge of 3rd party products used by BAE Systems AI
- System administration and monitoringDesirable to have knowledge of
- Microsoft SQL (Installation, maintenance , backup) SQL Cluster.
- Virtualization (VMware)
- Any flavour of Unix/Linux is an advantage.
- SAN and NAS storage
- Data Diodes
- Knowledge of telecommunications technologies and common protocols like SS7

Division Overview: International Services and Solutions (IS&S)
International Services and Solutions (IS&S) exists to satisfy the Applied Intelligence strategy to grow in the international large-scale security market by leveraging government relationships and differentiated propositions. Our mission is to support those who defend nations, organisations and citizens from physical and cyber threats. As well as our traditional deep expertise in communications intelligence for governments and telecommunications companies, we help our customers collect, store, analyse, and extract intelligence from open source information and to fuse multiple data sources into insightful intelligence.
We also help our clients monitor cyber activity to identify new threats and threat actors within the cyber domain, locally and nationally, and build secure communications infrastructure. We are the home for advanced electronic capability within Applied Intelligence and solve our client’s requirements with a mix of advanced software and hardware solutions combined with associated services offerings.
The IS&S structure includes five regions and our Core Capability teams. They are supported by a number of functions, including Business Development and Sales, Engineering, Operations and Delivery, Finance, HR, Commercial and Legal.
